![]() ![]() I know that it's probably because I wasn't facing the dragonfire myself, that it seemed easier when he fought the dragon than when I did. The weird thing is, for all the higher att/str/def/prayer/armor I had, it seemed like he had an easier battle against Elvarg than I did. (Aside: I remember Elvarg being tough to defeat. ![]() The guy did a great job of defeating Elvarg! He didn't turn on prayer at all. ![]() I'd recommend the same armor/supplies to anyone trying to defeat Elvarg, except an amulet of power in place of the holy symbol, and a rune scimitar in place of the rune longsword). I brought armor/supplies close to what Sal's website recommends. Two strength potions, holy symbol, 26 lobsters, rune longsword, full rune helm, rune chainbody, rune platelegs, regular boots, safety gauntlets, anti-dragonfire shield. Attack 41, Strength 55, Defense 45, prayer 43. Note that I wasn't very interested in Runescape quests when I played, therefore I probably could have attempted the Dragon Slayer quest sooner than I did. (Aside: Here's approximately what I defeated Elvarg with. So I stopped fishing and decided to watch the fight. But the person went straight for the combat with Elvarg. I remember reading about what att/str/def level you should be at, and what armor/food/supplies you should bring, so I advised him that also wearing a (rune full) helmet would be good if he was going to face Elvarg. He had a rune scimitar, an amulet of power, adamant platebody, rune platelegs, anti-dragonfire shield, boots from the Barbarian Village Dungeon. His answer was (approximately) level 40 attack, 40 strength, 40 defense, low level ranged&magic, 15 prayer. Someone on the dock fished/cooked 22 lobsters for him. A player runs up to us and asks for food. (1) I was fishing at Musa Point, Karamja. ![]()
